We Celebrate 10th Year Anniversary of our Brno Centre of Excellence

Our Centre of Excellence in Brno is celebrating an important milestone in its history: 10th Anniversary of the establishing. We had a beautiful celebration with all the employees on the roof terrace with music performance of our talented colleague, drinks and cakes. Our director, Mrs. Olga Pavlikova said by the occasion:

10 year back, our company Dixons Retail, decided to create a Shared Service Centre that would provide support to our back-offices frequently found across all regions where our company operates. This centre was supposed to be an internal service provider in a lower cost, although culturally similar, location, where would be abundant talent resources for reasonable price, people motivated to build a career in a pan-European company. I’m very happy that the choice was made in favour of our city of Brno and that this decision was never regretted.

On the contrary, this investment turned out to be quite beneficial on a few fronts. Our centre was originally intended as a back-office for transactional, mainly Finance activities. The company first opened an office with small teams in Accounts Payables, Customer Support Agreement and Store Banking. In course of 10 years, we executed more than 100 migrations which brought to Brno more than 600 roles and we are fully different to what we have imagined initially. We built a unique, truly multifunctional and diverse team with 28 nationalities and that is highly respected among our customers. Only last week we finalized collection of 2017 Customer satisfaction survey responses and received a score of 94%! This is the best testimony to the quality of work you all do here in Brno.

And I believe we can do more together. A year ago, with support of our company leadership we embarked on a journey towards a Centre of Excellence. We have an ambition to become true experts in what we do and true partners to our clients, with full understanding of their needs and proactive dialogue so that we support them in the right business decision making. Putting customer first, always, applies equally to us as it does to our store colleagues. In the future, we still want to focus on expanding our scope and continue moving up the value chain (bring in more complex and business critical roles), but also on making sure we deliver our services in a consistent manner and in line with the best-in-class standards.
