Freight Costs Team's key responsibility is to understand the agreements with carriers and book the incoming invoices based on them. The team works in a turbulent environment and changing conditions. The team leader handles the communication with business partners, sets up the routines and supports and develops team members. SAP system and its module Transportation Management (TM) is the core of the process. We are looking for a leader who can be an inspiration for the team, approaches the bottlenecks of the process actively, comes up with new ideas and represent the Centre of Excellence to Currys’ customers and colleagues. There is a lot of communication with our business partners where assertiveness must be used to achieve all our goals. The new colleague needs to understand the financial part as well because setting up of the new routines is influencing our results. What will you do? You will:

  • Lead a team of 5 experienced colleagues and help them with their development
  • Focus on process stabilization & improvement
  • Work on automation of some of the processes to free the hands of our colleagues for more advanced tasks
  • As a leader, you will be in close contact with senior management and business partners – we have to describe, negotiate and explain a lot, often to stakeholders without financial expertise, so you can both utilize and perfect your communication skills here

  • You will be in daily touch with stakeholders in the Nordic region, so advanced level of English is a must
  • You have experience in finance or related fields, and you are familiar with SSC environment with general understanding of end-to-end processes
  • You are skilled in stakeholder management and you are up for proactive communication with our business partners - ¬your communication and influencing skills are at high level
  • Good interpersonal and organization skills
  • You have hands-on approach to problem solving
  • Advanced level of Excel skills
