With the growing scope and new demand for Robotics Process Automation (RPA) across Currys, we are looking for a new colleague to join us during this exciting time.
As a business analyst you will be working with business teams to identify and document processes suitable for automation as well as work with RPA developers to design the automation solution in line with the business' requirements.
You will take charge of the communication with the business team and SMEs, organize process reviews and facilitate improvement workshops where necessary.

What will you do? You will:

  • collect and evaluate process data (volumes, quality, speed, costs) at the beginning of every project to make sure we have a clear picture of the process, can monitor the improvements and make decisions based on data
  • map the process steps, identify various scenarios and exceptions in the form of what we call an Automation Design Document (ADD) that will serve as the baseline for the RPA developers
  • facilitate the conversation and deliverables between process SMEs and RPA developers
  • you will also help us to spread the word of RPA across the organization, capture new opportunities and
  • support the existing automations by looking for opportunities to improve the efficiency of our solutions by monitoring exceptions and incidents, suggesting process improvements to the business as well as developers

In the first week you will:
  • onboard and get equipped with everything you need
  • get to know the team
  • learn what RPA is and how does the RPA delivery work
  • get an introduction to the Robotic Operating Model (ROM)
  • learn what an Automation Design Document is

By the first month you will:
  • learn what agile is about and how the RPA delivery operates in sprints
  • get familiar with the tools used such as Jira, Confluence, MS Planner
  • learn the basics of lean and process mapping
  • join a project manager (PM) on existing projects to get a feel for the work done

By the first 3 months you will:
  • complete RPA foundation training
  • support the PM with mapping and analysis of ongoing projects
  • get familiar with the capabilities of RPA and the various tools at our disposal

Within the first 6 months you will:
  • be capable to work independently and deliver the define stage of projects
  • learn and use lean problem solving and process design tools & techniques
  • become proficient in turning raw data into project and process insights

By the end of the first year you will:
  • be able to deliver a complete ADD ready for development
  • manage the deliverables of define & design stages of the projects
  • be able to manage small projects end to end

Now you’re probably wondering what we expect from you? Well…

  • understanding and previous experience in process analysis and mapping (i.e. as an SME or analyst)
  • know-how to analyse data and turn it into meaningful insights (good knowledge of MS Excel)
  • willingness to learn new things (every project is a new experience)
  • be comfortable to communicate often with people across the business (good English is essential)
  • creative and open mindset
