Finance Reporting team leader plays key role in Group and UK reporting. The main responsibilities are to manage the HFM and Essbase reporting, control and advisory as well as responsibility for the overall day to day management of Controllership, Management Reporting & Analytics, FP&A and Intercompany teams. This encompasses not only insightful and relevant reporting, but also delivery of high-quality outputs and management of activities arising from current workload within and outside the team. This will involve managing the relationship between the CoE and the Group & UK FP&A teams.

What will you do? You will:

  • Management of HFM and Essbase reporting, control and advisory.
  • Coach the team of 7+ direct and indirect reports to work effectively and efficiently to ensure completeness of deliverables and rigorous understanding of their responsibilities / processes.
  • Support the future development of the team and assist with the planning & implementation of new activities.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end procedure, ensuring that all financial transactions are completed accurately and to the required timescale.
  • Manage the monthly financial consolidation process of the company and coordinate data submission / load process from regions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and assist in special projects as necessary.

Now you’re probably wondering what we expect from you? Well…

  • Substantial relevant experience in a finance department in the field at an appropriate level, with sound understanding of financial systems.
  • Experience of coordinating multiple functions, roles, and departments.
  • A thorough understanding of the issues in Finance departments within a retail business.
  • Analytical skills, both organisational and financial.
  • A commitment to the development of your teams.
  • The ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment with a “can do” approach.
  • A thorough understanding of how other departments interact with the CoE Finance Reporting department.

Technical skills:
  • Part or fully qualified accountant
  • Knowledge of HFM
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Advanced level of English (strong verbal and written communication skills)
  • Understanding of corporate and group finance requirements
  • Good accounting skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Understanding of finance processes (willingness and ability to learn about Corporate & Group Finance requirements and operational / commercial drivers of the business)

  • Self-motivated
